1. Note to self: Gotta keep on truckin’ and focus on the big picture.
2. Reads: Encouraging post from Stefanie of The Broke and Beautiful Life - Moving Forward: Fast, Slow, and Constant. A timely reminder that even though it feels like you’re just “spinning the wheels” while working towards a goal/career/etc., cultivating the soil and planting the seeds will not be in vain. Must keeping moving forward…no matter how slow it feels some days:)

NYFW 2014: Marc Jacobs Fall 2014 Set Design
Fashion week is in full swing and I’m extremely behind with the latest. I did catch a quick glimpse of the Marc Jacobs show online and as usual, he hardly disappoints with creative runway design.
Remember this dark and ominous beach set complete with sand, oriental rugs and a broken down van from last season? Fall 2014 was quite the contrast with simple cylindrical stools and dream-like clouds suspended in mid-air (which gave me inspiration for a future baby shower!).
This set was another brilliant collaboration with Stefan Beckman Studio, a design firm with an emphasis on production design and art direction for the fashion industry. See more of their work here.
Any standout shows from fashion week so far?
Back Story: Vera Wang Spring 2014
Fashion Week is in full swing and there are lots of beautiful inspiration from runway sets to the main attraction. In true Vera Wang form, floaty pieces ruled the catwalk, but it’s all about the back for me! The delicate floral pieces and and cage-like racer back designs are fueling ideas for future projects. Straight to my inspiration board this goes!
P.S. I created a “Fashion Week” board on Pinterest here. Check it out for updates from New York to Paris.
Inspiration: Sass & Bide
I haven’t had much sleep this past week and I couldn’t be happier that it’s Friday! TGIF. I haven’t had a chance to keep up with Fashion Week. Now NYFW is over and everyone has flocked over to the UK for London Fashion Week. I’m slowly reviewing the shows on Style.com this evening and came across one of my favorite Aussie designers, Sass & Bide.
As always, another fantastic collection and these yellow accents are quite energizing after this past week. I’ve always enjoyed blog posts of interiors inspired by the runway and decided to play copycat;)
What’s your favorite shows so far?
I apologize for the lack of posting the past week or so. I’ve been caught up in the holiday frenzy, but in a nut shell, we had a wonderful time catching up with family & friends.
I’m hoping to get to regular blogging schedule soon:) Just wanted to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Wishing you many blessings, love & success in 2013!
Tim Walker for Mulberry (Autumn/Winter 2011 & 2012)
Tim Walker is hands down among my favorite photographers. It’s no wonder his editorials are blogged and reblogged constantly…yet I’m never tired of seeing his work floating around the blogosphere. I’m not much of a girly girl, but I’m drawn to his beautiful, whimsical editorials.
I had such a hard time deciding which editorials to post here, so I narrowed it down to his most recent campaigns with Mulberry. Growing up with Where the Wild Things Are, I absolutely loved this season’s campaign! As always, there’s that Tim Walker magic with larger than life sets and a touch of whimsy.

Just discovered another lovely etsy shop, CORIUMI, while “tumbling” along this evening. The Lithuanian based shop created these chic, screen printed tribal motif clutches on a mixed media of leather and canvas. I’m thinking holiday gifts and perhaps a birthday gift to myself next month;)
